Lauren Hart McKinnon is a Melbourne based designer, and recent graduate from RMIT’s Bachelor of Fashion Design (Honours) program.
Her 2020 graduate collection entitled ‘The Ultimate Fleetingness of Things’ explored the intimacy that exists between humans and objects. It interrogates the ways in which we assign meaning to inanimate things, and how this can create more sustainable systems for the consumption of fashion objects.
Ethics and Sustainability
All knitted garments are made of 100% Australian merino wool, a high quality material that is designed for comfort and durability.
The pieces are knitted and constructed at Interknit, a family run factory in Ballarat, Victoria. They are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia.
These pieces are made in small runs, dependent on pre-orders to avoid an excess of stock that could end up as waste.
